Lash Lift or Lash Extensions: Which Should You Choose?

Both make your eyes look more awake, but they work in very different ways. Here is a simple way to decide.
The short version
- A lash lift works with the lashes you already have. It adds a natural curl and lift, so your lashes look bolder without mascara.
- Lash extensions add new lashes to your own, for more fullness, length and drama.
Neither is better. It comes down to the look you want and how much upkeep suits your life.
Lash lift: your own lashes, lifted
A lash lift gives your natural lashes a curl that lifts them up and away from the eye. It is a good fit if you like a natural look, prefer to skip mascara, or want something low-fuss.
Many people pair a lift with a lash tint, which darkens the lashes for more definition and depth. Heaven Sent Beauty offers both.
Lash extensions: added fullness
Extensions are added to your natural lashes one by one. There are three styles to choose from:
- Classic. Elegant, natural-looking fullness.
- Hybrid. A blend of classic and volume lashes for a textured look.
- Volume. Dramatic, fluffy lashes with maximum volume.
Extensions need fills to stay full. A fill refreshes and maintains your set, and each style has its own fill: classic, hybrid or volume.

Which one is right for you?
A lash lift may suit you if you:
- Like a natural, everyday look
- Want to reduce how much mascara you wear
- Prefer less upkeep
Extensions may suit you if you:
- Want noticeably fuller or longer lashes
- Like a more dramatic look
- Are happy to come back for regular fills
